Last week Wednesday was the day when the lovly bloodsugartest took place. The baby and his mother went to the doctor, arrived shortly before eight and were completely sober. There they had to swollow some lovely juice. Not two minutes later the empty stomach began to rumble properly and Jamie had his joy showing with numerous kiks. After 60 more or less exciting minutes (there was a nice talk with another pregnant woman) the first value was determined. Everything okay.. Puhh, thank God! And incredible 60 minutes later, the second value was also perfectly okay. So no pregnancydiabetis.
Around twelve mother and child finally arrived at work.
Thursday was Father's Day and the going to be father showed his suitability by letting the going to be mother sleep late. Otherwise the week was rather unspectacular ...

After mother and child could hardly sleep in the night from Monday to Tuesday because of a hard stomach, it was decided to control the whole thing. Since the gynecologist was not in, what followed was a 3.5-hour marathon in the hospital.
It consisted of a very nice midwife, an advanced CTG, an unwilling baby and a totally wasted motherto be. The father was rather amused...
Since the CTG showed nothing, except that Jamie hates everything with sound the mother was briefly examined and then blood was taken. Doctors definatly do not know how to take blood, the after-effects were to be admired in the form of an ugly blue stain.
Mother and child rested the rest of the week. Which was not as easy as it may sound with a hyperactive dog, a painful hip, a very bad television program, and nothing to read in the entire house.
But we survived this week somehow, next week there will be a bloodsugartest and then also nee pictures of the little stinker.
PS: Something positive had the whole investigation, Little-Jamie has finally turned and now seems to be happy with his world upside down.. Let's hope it remains so.
